The Thwane Camp is situated up in the mountains and consists of a bush camp with three permanent tented structures, capable of accommodating up to 30 guests. Basic amenities such as pots, pans, gas stove, running water, toilet and showers are all provided. There is also a swimming pool.

Routes to and from Thwane Camp follow high ridges and offer the most premium views of the impact structure available in the Dome area. Hikers pass through typical savanna thorn bush vegetation, passing iron age stone enclosures along the way.
