Terrapin Trader

Overview
Terrapin Trader is a trade center that sells extra items from the University of Maryland's surplus. Items typically include computers, printers, desks, chairs, tables, and other furniture or items that the University may acquire. Items are placed into a showroom. Typically, at first items will only be available to other University of Maryland departments. They are available to other state organizations after the first week, to the school's faculty and students after the second week, and to the general public after the third week. Items can be purchased directly or auctioned. The trade center aims at ensuring that no functionally operating items go to waste. Surplus items that are not selling will typically be transferred to another location, and the Terrapin Trader encourages other departments in school systems or non-profit organizations to notify them if they are in need of any items that are not sold in the showroom.
