From the website:

"Founded in June 2012 Belongil Bistro is the brainchild of husband and wife team Christian Poulsen and Mindy Halabe. The sophisticated Brunch and Dinner eatery was designed to draw on local and sustainable elements, using reclaimed timber from demolished buildings, supplemented by solar electricity, the inclusion of work by local artists and a menu composed with produce sourced from the Northern Rivers. The word Belongil is literally translated from the indigenous word meaning ‘where the paper barks meet the sea’, some of which feature in front of the restaurant."
