Five Borough Administration Building
Overview
This facility is the green roof at the Parks 5 Borough Building, on Randall’s island which is inaccessible by any mass transit system. This parks and recreation building has classrooms to learn about the environment as well as clean energy in attempts to implement a greener environment in the New York City area. On the roof of their building they have one of the largest green roofs in New York City which includes many different plant species as well as an array of solar panels and other devices such as boxes for composting areas.
