The Brooklyn Greenway will be a 14-mile path for recreation and transportation, which will run from Greenpoint to Sunset Park. The plan is that the Brooklyn Greenway is going to be at least 30 ft wide and will include a path for bikes, a pedestrian path, and a landscaped area. The Greenway will serve as an important transportation route for commuters to and from Red Hook. Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to use the Brooklyn Greenway to go all the way from Van Brunt Street to Red Hook Park, with stops at points of interest such as Valentino Pier or Fairway Market. The Brooklyn Greenway will provide waterfront access to the Red Hook community.
