Construction Site/Abandoned Sugar Factory

This construction site used to be the Revere Sugar factory, but shut down some time ago. This place is located on the scenic Red Hook waterfront, though the view of the abandoned factory is not so beautiful. If the factory could be made into something more productive and helpful to the environment, rather than be left as a blight site, it would help beautify the neighborhood. The factory was sold to Thor Equities in 2005 who planned on turning the site into a mall or condos. They have yet to make any changes to the site. We at Hook Productions think it would be a perfect site for summer music and arts festivals or youth programs!
