Overview
STIR was founded by Buck Ward, President of Segway of Richmond, to lead the effort and successful integration of green, alternative, environmentally friendly vehicles and transportation systems into the City of Richmond and surrounding counties. STIR aims to lead these efforts through support for project adoption, education, and related activities. STIR is currently working to make Richmond a pilot city for both the G.M./Segway PUMA Project and Ford’s Urban Mobility Network System.
