The School Farm is an experiential, ecological learning space and organic research farm maintained and supported by a partnership between a local non-profit organization (Ecology Center of San Francisco or ECO-SF) and the two High Schools at the Site (School of the Arts and Academy of Arts and Sciences). The site features organic farm rows to supply the school's kitchen with fresh, organic produce, and natural building demonstrations including cob oven and earthen chicken coop with living roof. The space is open to the public during a monthly potluck and skill sharing gathering called Bakers Alley and is also available to schools and other groups for field trips and tours by appointment.
