17 tower sculptures constructed of structural steel, covered in mortar, and adorned with broken glass, sea shells, pottery, and tile. Built by one man, Simon Rodia, a construction worker who used simple tools, over a 34-year period beginning in 1921.

It's a National Historic Landmark operated by the Cultural Affairs Department. The Watts Towers Arts Center also provides tours, lectures, studio workshops for children and teachers.
