Green Circle Trail

Overview
The Green Circle Trail - Citizens for a Scenic Wisconsin presented the Green Circle Trail with its 2008 Scenic Beauty Award! The Green Circle Trail is a 30 mile natural hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing trail that meanders through forests, over wetlands, along the Wisconsin and Plover rivers, and around the greater Stevens Point Area. About 1 ½ miles of the Green Circle intersects the northern part of UWSP’s Schmeeckle Nature Reserve and easily connects to the Reserve’s trail system. In addition to Schmeeckle Reserve, the Green Circle Trail connects Stevens Point’s Bukolt, Zenoff, Pfiffner, Plover River and Iverson Parks, Plover’s Lake Pacawa Park, the Village of Whiting Park, and Izaak Walton League land.
