Overview

The Cardiff Design Festival celebrates the best of Welsh design each October through a programme of events that inspire, inform and provoke. It shines a light on the design sector and shows how design affects every aspect of our lives. The Festival is convened and co-ordinated by Cardiff School of Art & Design at Cardiff Metroplitan University in collaboration with partners from the creative industries and other public bodies and private businesses. The programme includes talks, conferences, happenings, challenges, exhibitions, portfolio surgeries, workshops, debates, games, pub quizzes, design wars, open studios, socials and parties, bringing together designers and design thinkers from the widest range of disciplines from Cardiff, across Wales and beyond at venues throughout the city.
