Global Community Learners (WEA)
Overview
Global Community Learners are a group of community learning reps; supported by WEA to promote a culture of learning in their communities.

They are interested in taking forward global citizenship / environmental education projects which lead to practical action. ;They are being supported by WEA's ESDGC coordinator who is interested in supporting them to develop new initiatives to build the capacity / energy of the group.
Promoting Sustainable Development in their local communities.
The group meets on the last Thursday of each month at the WEA Office, 7 Coopers Yard, Curran Road, Cardiff CF10 5BN.
Since 2009 the WEA South Wales and Cardiff Council have been engaged in a collaborative training programme which has developed the role of the Community Learning Representative (CLR).
The WEA is offering its CLRs the chance to develop their knowledge of ESDGC, and to learn how their actions as individuals could affect the lives of other people around the world. Representatives will cover many issues, from peak oil to global warming, food air miles to supporting social enterprise.
