University Heights Library

Overview
University Heights Library is the only library in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library system in the City of University Heights. It offers a diverse popular collection, including fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, DVDs, books on CD and MP3, teen materials, graphic novels, music on CD, and children’s materials including books, CDs, puppets, puzzles and magazines. University Heights Library has a large print collection, African American fiction section and receives a selection of Russian books and magazines every other month from the foreign language collection of Cleveland Public Library.
Wiley Middle School has always brought a large number of teens to our building. In 2000, the University Heights library began the first “After School Center,” giving the teens activities, computers and a place to congregate after school. In 2003, the YA department installed this program in all Cleveland Heights libraries and renamed it “the Spot”.
University Heights Library has a longstanding relationship with the City of University Heights' Senior Network. Once a month a group of senior citizens meet to listen to speakers on a variety of topics, ranging from health care to art. University Heights library hosts the “Senior Spot,” to increase its programming for adults using our library.
Offerings for children include Story Stop (all ages) on Wednesday mornings, and Toddling Time (children 3 and under with caregiver) on Friday mornings.
