We do not have a store-front of our own. However, our products are located at The Old House at 122 N Jackson in Starkville, MS. We attend markets in Oxford, Jackson, and Starkville. We have on-line purchasing capabilities, and we have an herbal CSA.

Community herbalists and plant-lovers Lindsay Wilson and Mandi Sanders founded Sweet Gum Springs Apothecary in February 2013. Over the years, both Mandi and Lindsay have been studying and deepening their knowledge and application of herbal preparations. While doing so, they noticed that friends and family began asking them for remedies and herbal preparations for preventable or common ailments. It only felt natural to combine forces and create the apothecary to meet the growing needs of their community.

The apothecary is a local and woman-owned small business. It offers seasonal, herbal preparations for vital health and well-being. Mandi and Lindsay both *deeply* feel that plant-medicine and plant nourishment with wild foods, weeds, invasive, naturalized and native plants, and cultivated herbs are cornerstones to personal, family and community health. Not only are the plants important for human health, our relationship with these plants ensures ecological health and the preservation of diverse ecosystems.

Our small, hands-on apothecary honors the traditions of American Herbalism, the Wise Woman tradition, and folk herbalism. The majority of the plant material we use is either grown in our garden or wild-crafted. We take great care in our harvesting and cultivation methods to ensure the health and well-being of all plant and tree communities we work with.
