This is a broadleaved woodland area with a pond, meadow, heath, rocky outcrops and remains of buildings from the old brickworks after which the wood is named. There are also bunkers dating from the second world war and a large disused railway tunnel which has been blocked up and is now home to bats.
Access from the rear of car park off Walters Row, Dunvant. Follow cycle path North for about 1/3 mile to a wooden bridge.
This information is an abridged version of the information contained in the Discovering Woodlands booklet.
