‘Forest Schools is an innovative educational approach to outdoor play and learning.’

Forest Schools' aim is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive experiences and participation in engaging and motivating achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment, helping to develop personal, social and emotional skills.

Forest School SNPT (Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot) runs sessions for children of all ages, play schemes and one-off taster days. The project also provides training for teachers in Play and Learning in Woodland Settings, supports a module for students on the degree course in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Wales Swansea and supports schools who want to set up their own forest school projects. OCN accreditation is available for the older participants.
