Solar Energy Site

Overview

J4 Lifeguard Hut Solar Shower 2
No votes yet

Installed on the roof of the Lifeguard hut are solar panels. The black
(heat-absorbing) panels contain pipes through which water passes and is heated by the sun. The heated water feeds the shower for you to use after a quick dip in the sea or the public pool. It is free and uses renewable energy.

Other places to see solar panels:
The Environment Centre
Swansea Community Farm

Solar water heating systems are the most popular form of solar energy used in the UK. The system is connected to the hot water system and can provide over half of a household's hot water requirements over the year.
