This tidal section of the River Loughor is bordered by Intertidal mudflats, salt-marsh and reed beds with wet woodland and rough pasture. This patchwork of habitats provides habitats for a diversity of priority species like Lapwing, Little Egret, Reed Buntings, Sand Martins and Water Rail.
