Swansea Museum

Overview
Swansea Museum is a real treasure house of the ordinary and the extraordinary from Swansea past, and is a focus for the future of the City and its people. The museum is the oldest in Wales and was opened in 1841 by a group of local people who were known as The Royal Institution of South Wales. It was set up to preserve the important heritage of the area, whilst providing an enjoyable visitor experience.
The Museum employs a Community Outreach Officer to work with community groups in Swansea to increase their involvement with the Museum and provide help to community projects.
