Tor Bay, a Green Coast Award winner, is a secluded sandy beach on the south coast of Gower. Access to the Bay is via a steep sandy and rocky bridleway from the cliff top or along the beach from Nicholaston at low tide. This beach is popular with bathers, however there is no lifeguard present on this beach.

Always check the weather and local conditions before going in the sea, as some Gower beaches experience strong tides or currents.

Further Information
The Green Coast Award is run by Keep Wales Tidy, with the aim ‘To acknowledge those beaches which meet Guideline water quality and are prized for their natural, unspoiled environment’.

The award is a symbol of environmental excellence, established to acknowledge, promote and protect the environment of rural beaches in Wales. It also places a strong emphasis on community and environmental activities.
