Go to Piraeus to for all your “Green” banking needs. The bank has co-funded the GREENbanking4Life Project with LIFE to offset the negative impact businesses have on the environment. The project hopes to transform Greece’s financial sector by establishing new environmental standards.

Piraeus bank has employed an Environmental Management System that is in accordance with the European Community’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. The System’s objectives include: reducing the environmental effects that the bank’s activities have and to further educate its patrons on the environment.

The Green initiatives of the bank allows visitors to:
- Become educated on the damage climate change can have on a company and how they can fix these problems
- Understand what the ecological footprint of a business is and its impact on society and the environment
- Discover how they can benefit from lowering their energy consumption
- Become acquainted with the EU’s environmental guidelines, trends, and the latest ways to invest in renewable energy and clean technologies
