Raised beds, hoop houses, composting, garden shed with green roof, a communal fire pit that is the focal point for garden celebrations, the start of a community nature trail...this garden is a model of community engagement and greening. It's productive, too! Started in 2010 at the base of the historic Curtis Bay Water Tower, the garden is a collaboration among many dedicated individuals and educational institutions -Curtis Bay Elementary Middle School, its After School Program run by Child First Authority, Chesapeake Center for Youth Development, Ben Franklin High School .
