This Reservoir Hill community garden was created to address a problem of continuous dumping. The community reclaimed the lot as an asset, choosing to fill it with perennial flowers, crepe myrtle and garden sculpture. A rain barrel collects water to use; labels identify the plants. Now it's a source of pride for the neighborhood. Additional plantings in the 800 and 900 blocks of Newington contribute to neighborhood greening and beautification.
