The restoration of the facade of the Upper Castle and Chateau received the renowned European Union Prize for Cultural Heritage "Europa Nostra Award" in the category of conservation in 2008. http://www.europanostra.org/lang_en/index.html

The restoration project that allowed only authentic repair techniquest and procedures which have so far been applied only for works of art was highly hailed for the preservation of authenticity of the restored facade.

城の壁は、長い年月を経て削れたり変色した外観を保ったまま修復された。2008年、その技術が認められ、世界で最も優れた修復を施されたとしてEUよりEuropa Nostra賞を贈られた。http://www.europanostra.org/lang_en/index.html
