Kwun Tong Promenade

Overview
Kwun Tong Promenade is located at a portion of waterfront which is formerly a site at the southeastern end of the Kwun Tong Public Cargo Working Area (PCWA). The Promenade covers an area of 7 340 square metres and is the first open space project under the Kai Tak Development Plan. Its main attractions include a special tower landmark, the design of which has been inspired by the common scene of piles of compressed recycled paper being stacked up at the PCWA. Every night the lighting installed in the tower landmark flashes and changes along with music. Interacted with the mists of water droplets emitting from the ground and the kaleidoscopic beams from the uplights along the whole seaside boardwalk, the lighting creates a colourful and surreal effect.
