The architectural form and expression of the house were driven by the commitment to preserve all mature trees on site while simultaneously capitalizing on available breezes and solar exposure for passive conditioning and daylighting. A living roof will contribute new habitat for winged creatures and homeowners alike while serving to more closely integrate the building with the hydrologic conditions of the site.

Currently nearing completion, the project comprises OVE framing techniques throughout, earth-coupled heating & cooling, ERV, bamboo floors, regionally sourced stone countertops, and zero-VOC interior finishes.
