The 9th Street/Manchester bridge is a highway and pedestrian bridge extending downtown from 9th Street across the James River to the Manchester district. A pedestrian walkway is accessible at the center of the bridge, providing stairway access under the roadway at the south entrance. Traffic signals are also present at the north entrance to help pedestrians cross safely.
