RideFinders is a division of GRTC that provides information about various kinds of ride-sharing. Commuters around Richmond have many options when it comes to transportation including: carpooling, vanpooling, public transportation, and even walking and riding bicycles. Ridefinders helps connect people to these services and also provides tools to calculate the cost savings of utilizing alternative transportation, offers detailed information regarding GRTC routes and stops, and provides social services like Emergency Ride Home (see below). Most importantly, the RideFinders website provides a wealth of information about the environmental benefits of alternative transportation and ride-sharing.

Emergency Ride Home (ERH) is a service provided by Ridefinders. To become eligible for the ERH program simply register with RideFinders and carpool, vanpool, bike, walk, or ride the bus to work at least three days a week. If you need an emergency ride home call RideFinders and they will arrange for you to be picked up and taken to your car or home. The first three rides each year are free. After the third use, each ride is five dollars regardless of your destination. Hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
