The Legacy Trail links to the Venetian Waterway Park (VWP) located near the historic Venice Train Depot at the Venice Avenue Bridge, here trail users can continue south on the VWP mainland trail to Shamrock Park and Nature Center or cross the Intracoastal Waterway to the VWP island-side trail and south to Caspersen Beach Park. It is about 15 miles from the Legacy Trail’s beginning point near Sawyer Loop Road in Sarasota to Venetian Waterway Park and its southern trailheads at Caspersen Beach Park or Shamrock Park

VENETIAN WATERWAY PARK TRAIL
The Venetian Waterway Park trail is 10 miles in length and follows along both sides of the Intracoastal Waterway. At the northern terminus, trail users can access historic downtown Venice, which features shopping, restaurants and cultural attractions, including the Venice Public Library, the Venice Museum and Archives, the Venice Art Center and the Venice Community Center.
