My mother, who just passed away at the age of 92, recorded in her memory book of her visits to Mother's Garden. She said there were "roses galore" and it was a favorite place to visit, especially on Sunday afternoons. Sounds like she would have been visiting there when it was still "new".
I walked the area and found it to be suitable for a disc golf course (18-27 holes).
The water is not safe for contact or drinking due to sewage contamination or run-off. Please see the Baltimore City Health Department for more info.
There is outdoor gym equipment scattered around the walking/biking course, making it a great place to work out!
Irvine is a beautiful place to be all year round. Families with children will love the beginner and intermediate hiking trails, as well as the interactive exhibit hall with animals and a kids area. The area is also great for nature enthusiasts of all types--I especially adore the Nature Store with green gifts and snacks. Great place for a picnic.
early mornings are great in the summer,,,,,,lots of walking room,,,few bikes...u get to know the regulars,,,you see the faces , but may not know the names,,but you know they belong,, a big hats off to the clean up crew and those guys and a gal cutting that grass,,,they do an AWSOME JOB
Lake Montebello is great because you can do exercise and you can watch the lake. It’s fun to watch ducks in the poind. It’s great to see seagulls fly in the air. Lake Montebello is good for your body sometimes. -Daniel, 5th grade
I like the Mothers Garden because on a special day you could go here. If someone is happy you could take them there and they might get excited. That is why I like the Mothers Garden. -Abigail, 5th grade
This is a quaint, litte nature center with free admission and nice variety of animals, insects, local plants and park lore that the kids can come close too. The staff is friendly approachable and knowledgeable. They are often available for questions and more. They also periodically have insect festivals and tours so be sure to ask for info while there. Since it's free and underfunded as a city entity, please drop a donation in their donation box on your way out. Be sure to check out this little known gem in west Baltimore!
Visit Quarantine Road dump to dispose of kitchen cabinets from city home an was charged 22.00 to dump. But read on line. Residents must show proof of residency to access this free service. (Commercial vehicles must be registered as small haulers to go to Quarantine Rd. Sanitary Landfill.)

clean and organized - found some great items at great prices!
Visited for the first time today - prices were especially good because clothing and shoes were half price!
This may be my new favorite place to get books!
It reaffirms people's belief in the goodness of their fellow city-dwellers and saves money and paper by allowing people to enjoy someone else's old book rather than purchase a new copy.
The Book Thing is a shining beacon of the principles of reuse and community building. People bring their lightly used books here by the boxfull, and other folks who want them come and take them away. It reaffirms people's belief in the goodness of their fellow city-dwellers and saves money and paper by allowing people to enjoy someone else's old book, rather than purchase a new copy. submitted by Abby Cocke

This is a great consignment shop for women. Everything from designer bags to basic jeans.
Are any lockers available at the station?

This is great, something which doesn't primarily highlight corporate interests. What can someone do to help add value to the map?
Well done!
It's really nice to know how house cleaning innovated into a natural and environment friendly services. I love it!
Thanks to the train conductor and the subway attendant who made sure my property that was left on the train was returned to me. This happened on Wednesday, April 15 @ approximately 1:25 pm. They both went above and beyond the call of duty and I am grateful!
The Waverly Garden Project produces an average of 1,000. pounds of produce each season that is distributed and shared with Waverly neighbors. It has served as a treasured neighborhood green sanctuary for 17 years providing community meeting and celebration space as well as a vital resource for locally grown organic fruits and vegetables. The Waverly Garden Project is recognized by neighbors for it's fall pumpkins and summer cantaloupes especially.

Hello all,
We do not need a waterpark at Druid Hill park pool. The only thing that needs to really be done for the pool is:
1.) Name it Carol Gibson Turner park pool
2.) Knock down the office/concession stand/and changing building into a state of the art building with clean bathrooms and lovely dressing rooms.
======================== If those children that I swam with in the 1970's and 1980's will be able to afford to swim everyday a Waterpark is not the answer. Swimming is a life saving skill!!! We do not need a waterpark in Druid Hill park pool.. We need a world class stage/stadium for summer concerts and possibly a slide into 4 ft.
Thanks, Stacey Q.
p.s. Swimming should be $1 for all children and free on Wednesdays for everyone.
What Time Do Y'all Open

The NW Sanitation Yard is a great place to take your electronics for e-cycling. They have about 10 bins that get cleaned up often.

Great source of fresh local produce! Also a great way for Hopkins students to be a part of the Waverly community.
A nice spot for a walk in Charles Village.
An interesting piece of history and art right in Charles Village!
I gave piano lessons here every week for 2 semesters through the Johns Hopkins Margaret Brent Music Program. It was a great experience! I loved working with my student and just being in the atmosphere of such a positive, creative, and fun place.
Margaret Brent offers quite a few opportunities to volunteer, including giving music lessons to kids! The students are adorable and great to work with. The music lesson volunteer program is a Johns Hopkins University student group called "Margaret Brent Music Program."
Food is healthy but not always flavorful. Their frozen yogurt is decent - try to get it during their happy hour!
Love this place!
You have not added any Green Sites which are not on a map.
