From the City Plantation Brochure:

We are a group of experienced farmers who want to do our part to preserve our farming heritage while introducing the community to the joys of eating “real food”. There’s a big difference, though, between us and most other CSA’s. Instead of growing on one large farm, we have decided to make otherwise unused backyards productive again by planting them with food crops. We are dedicated to providing healthy, tasty, fresh food to our community at a fair price. We’re also excited about providing education on how to grow organically & how to preserve the harvest. All our produce is grown by the same methods as those that are ‘certified organic”.

We reject the use of synthetic insecticides, herbicides, fertilizers, & GMO seeds. We build healthy soil by farming practices that include rotating crops, reducing tillage and using compost & cover crops. Our goal is not only to support the continued strengthening of a local, sustainable food system, but to grow the best tasting food you've ever had.
