Located at I-70/Franklintown, Park & Ride at Security Boulevard this access point for Gwynns Falls Trail and Gwynns Falls Park is 1.6mi (2.6km) from the Trailhead #2.
Between Trailhead #1 and #2 you will see Dead Run, upland Piedmont forest filled with tree species such as tulip, poplar, red oak, sycamore, and beech, and a historic waterwheel that pumped water uphill to the Crimea Estate in Leakin Park.
