The Warriors (Candangos)
개요
A candango is the migrant who came from all corners of Brazil to work in the construction of Brasilia.The word was used by African slaves to designate the Portuguese coloniser as dirty anddisgusting. The warrior candango was immortalized in the 26-feet bronze sculptures by Bruno Giorgio, which became one of the symbols of the city. Located in front of Planalto Palace, they were constructed in 1959 and restored in 1987.
