An unconventional take on producing home-made food with soul. Bird's uses as much organic and local produce as they can when producing their rather iconic breakfasts and lunches. Bird song accompanies your meals whilst you sit on upturned crates and cushions at long trestle tables.

Organic veggie box collection happens every Wednesday (Bird's are a collection point for Wild Organic Foods), from orders made the Friday before.

Nothing goes to waste at the restaurant either. Any leftovers go to local street vendors of the Big Issue and people working on the streets. Bird's is also involved in a 'kitchen club' in Khayelitsha, where they teach simple healthy recipes to students who learn the basics of cooking with things they have grown themselves in their vegetable patches.
