Missouri Botanical Garden
개요
Founded in 1859 the Missouri Botanical Gardens have been a Saint Louis landmark for more than 150 years. The Botanical gardens encompass 79 acres of green space in the heart of south Saint Louis and offer a wide array of horticultural displays from around the world, including a 14 acre Japanese garden and a half acre "Climatron" housing more than 1200 tropical plant species in a climate controlled geodesic dome. The Gardens are also actively involved in botanical research and conservation, and are recognized regionally and around to world for their efforts in these fields. The Gardens offer free admission to any Saint Louis County resident from 7am to 12pm every Wednesday and Saturday and discounted tickets during other hours.
