This distribution center has the designation of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certification, the highest level awarded. Some other features of the center include:
- rainwater collection for irrigation and commode flushing
- 4.2-kilowatt solar energy system, and paints and finishes manufactured without volatile organic compounds
- desks are made of a rapidly renewable material made from the discarded shells of sunflower seeds
- salvaged, recycled or sustainable harvested materials make up a large part of the remaining construction materials.
