窯古北路從二高橋下的登山步道入口東側小徑往大肚山上行，沿路都是原始次生林，生態資源豐富。路徑上常見蝴蝶翩翩飛舞的蹤影，如：長喙天蛾(類似蜂鳥)，鳳蝶，蛺蝶，小灰蝶，粉蝶等，蝴蝶食草植物；除此之外還有許多誘蝶植物蓊鬱於兩側坡坎，如：細葉饅頭果(三線蝶食草)、降真香、飛龍掌雪(鳳蝶食草)、珠花嘉賜木、毛瓣蝴蝶木(粉蝶科幼蟲食草.雌白黃蝶.端紅粉蝶.黑點粉蝶)、廣東葡桃、狗花椒(鳳蝶食草)、菝葜….等。

YaoGu N. Rd is an off-road hiking trail, situated on the east side of the main hiking entrance below No.2 Highway along the way. Visitors can discover the secondary forest with a native ecological resources. The flying butterfly can be seen on the way, such as Macroglossum insipida, Papilio polyxenes, Papilio memnon heronus Fruhstorfer, Papilio polytes, Kaniska canace drilon, Celastrina oreas arisana. Besides, there are many plants attracting butteries on lower slopes, such as G.rubrum, Acronychia pedunculata, Lamproptera curius, Casearia glomerata, Capparis sabiaefolia, putao. Syzygium jambos…Zanthoxylum avicennae, Smilax bonanox,.etc.
