Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge
Overview
Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge is located at the southern end of the Appalachian Trail in Dawsonville, Georgia. Amicalola Falls is one of the most visited state parks in the state of Georgia. Amicalola Falls State Park is home to the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi River standing at an astounding 729 feet tall. The park includes 24 tent, trailer, and RV campsites which have a wide range of prices depending on your location. The park also offers 14 cottages and a 56 room lodge which is open 24 hours. The lodge uses electricity which may be used as needed and also has WI-FI. There are various activities to take part in throughout the park such as hiking, seasonal trout fishing, playgrounds, gift shops, and the Maple Restaurant. Throughout the park there are four covered picnic shelters and one large shelter. There are also several recycling bins located throughout the park and picnic locations which help us go green.
