Eco-quartier is an organization of community action, initiative, awareness, and environmental accountability. Created in 1995 by the City of Montréal, it encourages Montrealers to improve the quality of their living spaces and reduce the environmental impact of their way of life. Since each neighbourhood is unique, Éco-quartier initiatives focus on specific needs at the local level and strive to find solutions that work.

Éco-quartier Peter-McGill was founded in 1997 and serves the Western section of the Peter-McGill municipal district, in the heart of downtown Montréal. From our office at 1414 Pierce street, Éco-quartier Peter-McGill focuses on four main themes for its principal initiatives : The Management of Solid Waste (recycling, composting andreduction at the source), Cleanliness, Beautification and Greening.
