Welsh Moor

Significant Habitat

Overview

No votes yet

Welsh Moor is one of the Gower Commons owned and managed to encourage a greater diversity of heathland plant species. Commoners’ livestock such as the sheep and cattle graze this area. Commoners are usually local landowners and farmers that have historical rights to use the land for grazing. The Marsh Fritillary Butterfly (internationally rare) is a feature of the site.
