About Queens Art Express

소개

Queens Art Express features performances, exhibitions, art events and great places to eat in the unique cultural communities along the route of the No. 7 train and N/Q/R trains connecting diverse communities of artists, cultural sites and local businesses in creating unique experiences for everyone to enjoy.

On its seven-mile route from Times Square to Flushing, the 7 train links vibrant artist communities from richly varied ethnicities and is truly representative of the American immigrant experience. It is a National Millennium Trail and named by the NYC Department of Planning, “The International Express.”

Come experience the Queens Art Express and discover eclectic arts events along the route of the 7. This annual spring arts festival is packed with arts exhibitions, festive events, and live performances in public spaces throughout neighborhoods clustered along the train route. Visit www.queenscouncilarts.org for more information on the Queens Art Express. And don’t stop there. Queens is brimming with arts activity all year long! In Jackson Heights, visit a Pakistani restaurant and take in a Bollywood film. In Sunnyside, spend an evening at a Spanish dance performance. In Corona, watch a game of bocce at an Italian social club or buy fresh tortillas at a Mexican bakery. These neighborhoods developed with distinct cultural traditions and are linked through shared social histories. Today, the International Express is a living heritage trail constantly being reinvented and reimagined by the cultural communities it connects.
