About NYC Sustainable Restaurants

Each semester students in NYU Food Management Theory class have the challenge to find new "green" restaurants. In teams, they make an appointment for an interview with the owner/manager/chef of these restaurants and conduct an in depth survey. The outcome of the survey is a set of slides discussing the history and sustainable features. The map grows by 10-12 restaurants each semester as new restaurants come on the scene. Most of the restaurants are in Lower Manhattan, but we are not spreading out into Brooklyn, Upper Westside and Upper Eastside.
