Historic Richmond Town
Visão geral
Historic Richmond Town is a large museum complex that's spread over 100 acres on four separate sites in Staten Island, the greenest borough of New York City. Each of these sites is a unique place for learning and reflection. They are places where present-day lives intersect with those of earlier times. The main and largest site, Richmondtown, hosts visitors throughout the year. Each day, they celebrate centuries of American life. They tell the stories of ordinary people from diverse backgrounds who have worked together for centuries to build an extraordinary country. With over thirty original historic structures and more than 130,000 historic artifacts, photographs, and archival collections dating back to the 17th century, the museum presents events, programs, exhibits, concerts, books, journals, films, online research and much more to the general public. They connect the past with the present so the future can be imagined. As New York City's only historic town and farm, they are not only America's historic town - they are the heart of New York.
