The building located on a 4.25 acre site, the facility is a new addition to a series of existing aircraft rescue fire facilities at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
It is scheduled to be completed prior to the opening of the new 5th runway, which it will serve primarily.

The fire station is the City of Atlanta’s first public building to apply sustainable development principles using the LEED rating system. The facility is serving as a driver to improve marketability for construction waste products.
