Telecommunications is the lifeblood of many businesses, and particularly industries that are prominent, and growing, in Cape Town. The Broadband Infrastructure Project is a multi-year, multi-million-rand initiative to lay a network of optic fibre cables throughout the metro. The network already links many Council-owned buildings and facilities, and will be extended to assist commercial operators by making high speed broadband available to businesses, at an affordable cost.
