Uncommon Ground
Visão geral
Uncommon Ground makes food that comes from local and organic farms. Uncommon ground has opened a new location in the Edgewater community, but has been in Wrigleyville for 17 years. They offer breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner daily and their meat and produce is organic and bought and grown locally. The rooftop features a green roof, which they hope will soon be organically certified, solar panels for solar thermal energy, and two bee hives. Their eco-friendly features include low v.o.c paint, fluorescent light bulbs, reclaimed lumber throughout the restaurant and an organic bar. As said by the owner, “waste is a failure of the imagination”, so they have made sure to reuse material, such as scrap wood for the fireplace and wood from trees that have already fallen for the host stations.
