Um local de espetáculos mais antigo do estado de Santa Catarina e o terceiro do Brasil. É um marco histórico e cultural para a cidade e atualmente encontra-se fechada para reforma. É promovido pelo órgão cultural da cidade e os usuários do teatro são os moradores locais. Quando em funcionamento, o teatro patrocina oficinas gratuitas para a comunidade e atua como um local propagador de cultura e como área de lazer e encontros sociais.
