St. Charles County Park. The park sits on the old Tavern Quarry that's been reclaimed and restored to MO native habitat. Plenty of walking trails and bike paths. The park is adjacent to the KATY trail. Camping in primitive or no-electrical tent sites is available. Hot showers and running water in the restrooms. Composting toilets in the picnic areas. Overlook for the Missouri River valley. Interpretive and community center. Playgrounds. Fishing in the old quarry pond.
