Harrimans specializes in solar power system design, sales and installation for your home, business, institution or non-profit organization in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Pinellas, Lee, Hillsborough, and Desoto counties. From site analysis to final inspection, we handle all details necessary for getting your solar power system up and running. Harrimans offers more than green products, operating as a green business is part of their culture. Employees participate in a number of practices and programs related to the environment. These projects include recycling cardboard in the warehouse and used heat pumps in the field. The office staff reuses supplies and each work station has an individual recycling bin. Their Sales Representative uses a Toyota Prius and technicians travel together to jobsites to reduce impacts. Additionally, there is a focus on employee health and wellness by using ecofriendly pest management and cleaning companies.

Practicing what they preach, Harrimans has installed a 5000 watt PV solar array on their warehouse. Additional energy reduction measures include the installation of lighting sensors in the warehouse and employees turning off lights in unoccupied rooms. Harrimans even installed a company EV charging station.
Harrimans Inc. became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 2015. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County.
