Beauregard est un puissant château juché sur une terrasse dominant le lac et construit à partir de 1250. C'était essentiellement une tour de guet disposant d'un port protégé dans un petit golf.
Plusieurs fois endommagé, il a subi de multiples transformations, mais conserve un magnifique donjon pentagonal surmonté actuellement d'un toit impressionnant. Il est entouré de très beaux jardins et d'un vaste parc.
